Anyone can increase their memory by adapting a 3 step process: Paying attention what is required then applying constructivist methods for learning them and finally making information easy to retain in the mind. Paying attention Take a pro-active role in remembering the things. Cramming is sometimes required but is not enough. Review recites and retains information and tests you for true understanding is a required thing to be done. Stop to be passive in class and while learning anything. Most of the students while going to class and listening to teacher don’t pay much of attention. Listening While Ignoring is a non productive way and make a way to failure. It gives the impression that you are trying but you are unable to remember anything after sometime.


Thus you feel like you did your task but unable to explain anything when asked by another person or whenever required. Constructivism deals with connecting new ideas with old ideas. Thus, one must constructs new understanding by adopting new thoughts with prior learning or experiences. Rather than memorizing scattered facts, try to relate them to prior knowledge. Think about any new idea and find out comparisons to other thoughts you know. Think about similar thoughts you learned in your past. Draw connections between old and new information.


Adopting these kinds of techniques will allows you to see the bright picture of the side and you will not get swamped with new thoughts coming to your mind. Identify important points. Think about how these best take their place with what you know from your experiences.
